“Soul stirring indie folk” - Pop Matters
The sonic lovechild of Israeli producer/drummer Nathan Blankett and American vocalist/songwriter Nicholas Horner, the music of Nick x Nati spans genres as well as continents. Their kaleidoscopic mix of songs originated in the grungy basement venues of north Brooklyn where Nick and Nati met as a part of NYC's heralded indie and 'New Music’ scene. After relocating (to Knoxville, Tennessee and Jerusalem, Israel respectively), the two found the time and inspiration to re-approach their musical companionship with new found fervor. Their 2022 EP Calú brings the duo's love of jazz, indie-pop, folk, rock, and progressive music together- a simultaneous homage to their roots as well as the blossoming of a new sound.
